Join us for Community Lunches this Summer!

Community lunches are a chance for neighbors, parents, community members and supporters to come together and share our harvest. We'll host lunches on the farm at 12:30 pm on the following Fridays: July 5, 12, 19, 26, and August 2nd. Our Summer Youth Program participants will work with local chefs to prepare a delicious meal featuring farm-fresh produce. Come to the farm to eat, meet and learn more about what we do at CGCF and how you can further support the farm and our youth participants.

Common Good Partners with DCHA to Build Raised Beds

This weekend Common Good City Farm staff and volunteers traveled across the river to the Highland Dwellings in Ward 8 to build raised beds for the residents of the public housing complex. This project, funded by the District of Columbia Housing Authority (DCHA), will bring residents of the Highland Dwellings together to grow fresh, healthy food for their community. Common Good, with the help of volunteers, residents, and DCHA staff, transformed a forgotten strip of land into a garden area that will not only produce nutritious food, but can also become a social gathering place.
